My name is Cliffton John Groep your newly elected Mayor of Naledi Local Municipality after November 1st local Government elections.We were elected during a very difficult period in our lives as residents of Naledi due to the tragic and untimely Passing of our former Mayor NEO WILLIAM SKALK, a formidable leader and a humble servant of the people, he left a very big legacy behind that I can only strive to fulfill, May his soul rest in Peace.
We are celebrating the festive holiday season during one of the worst pandemic in more than over hundred years(Covid 19), we encourage all citizens to continue being vigilant and practice good hygiene by washing hands regularly , wearing masks at all times in public places, Sanitize and keep the prescribed social distance of 1.5 metres. I would also like to take this opportunity to send our heartfelt condolences to families that lost their loved ones to Covid 19 pandemic.I encourage everyone to get registered for vaccination against Covid 19 so that we may minimize the rapid spread of the virus; we have a number of vaccinations sites in Naledi Local Municipality including Market Street.
